Global Citizenship Education and a Curriculum with SDG integration:
By integrating UN Sustainable Development Goals with the curriculum, we can build relevance and give our students participatory agency, thus bringing academic learning to life and sparking the passion of Generation ‘Z’. When the students explore and solve real-world problems, they build and apply knowledge in an academically rigorous manner while developing their skills and mindsets as in continuation from last session, under GCE, students will be exploring theme countries to learn more about the Country’s:
- History, Art and Architecture
- Culture and Civilization
- Flora and Fauna
- Cuisine and Craft
Global Citizenship is an awareness of the world as a whole – its values, communities and identities – and a person’s place within it.
Reading Program(DEAR)
Drop Everything and Read. Grade I and above, Reader-writers’ Workshops will be an integral aspect of our English curriculum. While ICSE boards focuses on Assessment of Speaking and listening is increasing, our focus on building our learner’s language skills and literary engagements is also increasing. From Debate, Declamation to Turn Coat and World Scholar’s Cups to National and International Debating Societies, the effort is to provide maximum positive exposure and competition to our young learners. With your cooperation these opportunities will make them ready to face the competition at a global level.
External Exams
We are partnering with a few External benchmarking assessments. Till the previous session, our students appeared for ASSET examinations and have scored exceptionally well as per the National Benchmarking standards. This session onwards, with other such exams, we will be assessing our students on a National as well as an International Benchmarking standard. Academic prowess is equally important. These exams will be held in various subjects for (Grades I to IX).
Empanelment of Senior Subject Matter Experts
While the school internal faculty is growing and developing consistently, additional support has also been added for our students in Senior Classes. Renowned subject-matter experts will be meeting our senior students regularly and will conduct lessons on various key concepts.
Leaders’ Connect
To provide our students with some real-life exposure and a deeper, more humane understanding about various industry types, we have initiated Leaders’ Connect. Various top performers are invited from different walks of life to share their experience in their fields of expertise.
Field and Industrial Trips
When students leave the classroom, they see the connections between what is happening at school and in the ‘real-world’. They begin to see that what they learn within the walls of the classroom can help them solve the problems they see in the world around them and can have a direct impact on who they become as people. We had been organizing many such field trips for students and will introduce more interesting features to this in this academic session. We are also planning for some virtual trips for students.
Self Defense, Yoga and Theatre
Microsoft Showcase School
